The TDG Education Bursary
Support for post-secondary students in Winnipeg and Manitoba
Post-secondary education is something we truly value, with our doctors actively involved in teaching and mentoring within the extended dental community. In fact, our dentists are always learning too, with regular continuing education to keep up-to-date with new technology and techniques. It’s all part of how we continually strive to provide you with the best dentistry in Winnipeg!
But it is not only education in the field of dentistry that is important to us – the value of post-secondary and continuing education extends to any career path or skill set, and that’s why we created a bursary to support local students in whatever path they choose, so long as education is a part of it.
The TDG Education Bursary: $1,000 toward your education.
Each year, we award our $1,000 education bursary to a post-secondary student in Winnipeg or Manitoba. The bursary is not specific to dentistry students; any student with an educationally based career plan is encouraged to apply! So whether you’re looking for dental school scholarships or have a completely different path in mind for your future, the TDG Bursary can help you achieve your goals.
Past Bursary winners.
In 2021, the TDG Bursary winner was Jake Esteves. A four-year Honour Roll student, Jake graduated from Collège Béliveau (a French immersion high school) in June 2022 with a 93% average in Grade 12. His senior year, he played centre on the Béliveau Barracudas hockey team, which ended its season as a B Division finalist. Jake was selected as an alternate for the 2022 B Division All-Star game and was voted by his teammates to receive the team’s 2022 Travis Price Spirit Scholarship, as well as winning the 2022 Béliveau Barracudas Scholastic and Hat Trick awards.
