A High-tech Process with Natural Results

We used state-of-the-art technology and a unique workflow to make this patient’s restoration simple.

Dentistry and dental technology have come a long way in recent years, and our doctors and onsite lab technicians are able to use new technology and techniques to make a difference where it matters: in the lives – and smiles – of our patients!

This patient of Dr. Mollot’s is a great example of how advanced 3D dentistry not only made fixing a painful cracked tooth and failed silver filling quicker and more comfortable for the patient, but also yielded the most natural-looking result.

Dr. Mollot was able to bypass the more cumbersome process of taking a messy analog impression by instead using our intra-oral scanner to capture a 3D image of the area. The scan was used to design the restoration with computer animated design (CAD) technology, and the restoration was then manufactured using a 3D milling machine and 3D printer. The best part is that each step was completed right here in our onsite lab, meaning Dr. Mollot and our technicians were able to collaborate closely in order to get the perfect result.

This full-service, start-to-finish workflow is unique to our clinic in Winnipeg, and we are so pleased to offer this to our patients for an easier process, and more accurate, detailed, and esthetic final outcomes. We’ve seen the difference technology advances and modern techniques can make to our patients’ smiles and the experiences they have with us, and that’s a big part of why our doctors are always learning, and our clinic and lab are always up-to-date with the latest technology.
