Support for post-secondary students in Winnipeg and Manitoba
Post-secondary education is something we truly value, with our doctors actively involved in teaching and mentoring within the extended dental community. In fact, our dentists are always learning too, with regular continuing education to keep up-to-date with new technology and techniques. It’s all part of how we continually strive to provide you with the best dentistry in Winnipeg!
But it is not only education in the field of dentistry that is important to us – the value of post-secondary and continuing education extends to any career path or skill set, and that’s why we created a bursary to support local students in whatever path they choose, so long as education is a part of it.
The TDG Education Bursary: $1,000 toward your education.
Each year, we award our $1,000 education bursary to a post-secondary student in Winnipeg or Manitoba. The bursary is not specific to dentistry students; any student with an educationally based career plan is encouraged to apply! So whether you’re looking for dental school scholarships or have a completely different path in mind for your future, the TDG Bursary can help you achieve your goals.
Past Bursary winners.
In 2018, the TDG Bursary winner was Jane Petroff, a talented soprano entering her third year at the University of Manitoba’s Desautels Faculty of Music. Jane performs in both classical and musical theatre locally – including parts in the chorus for Manitoba Opera’s productions of “Madama Butterfly” and “La Traviata” – and has also also toured nationally and internationally. We are proud to support Jane as she finishes her degree, and works toward her future career in music.
How to qualify and apply.
In order to qualify, students must have a post-secondary education plan in place, and show a broad range of interests and community involvement. You can see all of the qualifications and apply online by visiting our Bursary page here. If you have questions about the Bursary, contact us here!
