Life, Love And Smiles
Bad breath hampering your love life? Whiter teeth on your wish list? Not surprising, say the people at Colgate-Palmolive. According to their just-released survey, 52% of those polled identified having bad breath as the worst thing that could happen on a blind date. This was followed by running out of money (20%), getting food stuck between my teeth (12%) and bumping into an ex (10%).
When it came to changing one thing to improve their smiles, an overwhelming majority of the 250 polled said they would want whiter teeth. At 60% of the vote, white teeth were more sought after than straighter teeth (19%) or fuller lips (8%).
For whiter teeth, help is available right here in our office. Several in-office techniques including professional whitening or bonding will get your smile clean, white, and bright! And what about battling bad breath before that blind date? Brushing and flossing regularly helps to reduce this condition – and can even battle morning breath. And don’t just brush your teeth! Your tongue can trap food particles and bacteria, developing a whitish coating that contributes to bad breath.
If you make it past that first date free of dragon breath and are wondering what to do for date number two? Colgate says skip the hotdog and ball game – it came in last as a favorite evening with only 4% of the vote. Number one? Dinner and a movie.
